The much anticipated class excursion had finally arrived. We assembled at the
school foyer and waited for our english teacher, Mr Maran's instructions. The whole class had been looking forward to this because of some reasons that I should not say. Just in case someone that should not know read about it.Well, back to the journey...
[ Part 1 ] The whole class was divided into groups of 5. I was in the last group, but there wasn't any difference between the first and the last group. Armed with a pen and a piece of paper, we departed the school. There was a reason though, for bringing those stationeries. We were supposed to ( Mr. Maran's fav. phrase ) READ & ANALYSE the environment and note down things that we see, hear and smell.
Once we stepped out of school, a huge odour of fuel caught my nose's attention. The bus emitted too much carbon monoxide and diffusion of it in the surrounding air made me smell it. Automatically, I wrote it on to my piece of paper. Something caught my attention next. A group of my classmates stopped at the side of the canal. Because of a spider. Guess what they did...
' Destroy its web '. A bunch of ' nature destroyers ' they are... Soon after like 5 minutes, we had to move on. I was an observer there while they did all the 'work'. I was such a 'good guy'. *cough*
[ Part 2 ] We continued our journey towards the underpass. There was an unbearable STENCH there. It was s smelly that we quickly hasten our pace to East Coast Park. The environment there was friendly thought it was a little warm ( 12nn obviously ). The cool and refreshing breeze was really helpful after a long day studying in the humid classroom in school.
We strolled to the sea-side and managed to locate an empty bench with a table. Mr Maran allowed us to take a break around the vicinity and also gave us time to finish up on our note-taking. Some of them were mischievious, went to destroy the sandcastles with..... sea-shells.......
[ ( This is - Part 3 ahh ) ] Given the permission to buy drinks from the foodcourt nearby ( which I thought it wasn't a great idea ) took us 20minutes to get back to school FROM EAST COAST. The journey back was not interesting at all other than the group of people 'torturing' the pathetic spider.
I know its a long post.... And a boring one too.. but don't fall asleep reading it !! Haha
