VSCO 'Mini' Performance

Yesterday, our whole orchestra went to Mandarin Gardens for our mini performance. After a week's long of practice, we were ready for it. Practice started on 1pm yesterday. We practised till 4pm went we were told to change and get ready to depart to Mandarin Gardens which was located stone thrown away.

We departed school and walked to Mandarin Gardens. It was a short walk though but we were sweating profusely upon reaching there. It was due to the blazers we had to wear. Some people got to sit on the lorry ferrying the big instruments needed. The others had to walk instead.

We arranged the sitting arrangements and begun playing the 9 songs we were invited to play. It was quite a grand event at Mandarin Gardens as many people invited there were well-dressed. Every time after we finished playing a song, only onlookers standing at the sides clapped for us, while the others treated it as 'passing music'.

It ended around 8.15pm. Walking back to school took us 15min. We had pizza after that as all of us were hungry after a long and tiring day. It was my first performance for VSCO. Even though we screwed up some songs, it was quite an impressive performance.

Fire Evacuation Exercise

Hi hi all !

Its now 7pm.... Something is wrong with the time of blogger. It kept showing 2.57am. An interesting incident occurred in school today. Not as if it was extremely interesting. It was the Fire Evacuation Exercise. How I wish the alarm bell rang during history lessons. Okay back to the subject. Mr Maran, our English teacher was talking about the correct pronunciation of 'William Farquhar' (William Farkir) when the fire alarm rang. Ear piercing 'shrieks' can be heard from the sec1 class as it was there first time doing the exercise. Some extremely ENTHUSIASTIC people like Zul and the gang ran out of class. Not to line-up, but to run & hide in the toilet. Hahaha. After listening to Mr Low's announcement, apparently there is a 'fire' at one of the science labs. ( I can't remember which ) Led by Mr Maran, we stood in a straight row outside the class and went to the school field in an orderly manner. We were not the first class though. There were many other classes there and there were much more classes 'strolling' into the field. I did not hear the time we took to evacuate the building. The Sun was just to unbearable.

I think it was like 25 minutes or so but nonetheless I still hope the whole school did their very best. It was an importance exercise. But the main credit still goes to OM Mr Chia who organised the whole Fire Evacuation Exercise.

Special Day for a Special Classmate

Yesterday was a memorable day for us. ( 2G classmates & I ) Marco, our classmate for a year was going to leave us. He will be going to Malaysia to continue his studies. His mom was a Malaysian. Though Ms Shekha told us the reason of him leaving, we still could not accept it. We were classmates for a year and we shared joy, happiness and got into trouble altogether, as a class. Marco is a very nice guy who is both helpful and kind. ( He can be mean sometimes ) We knew he always liked soccer as he always participated in inter-class soccer and plays soccer during recess. I still remembered when our class won the inter-class soccer. So the whole class contributed enough money and bought him a soccerball as a farewell gift. Not to mention, a farewell card too. We planned a 'mini- farwell ' party for him and took pictures together as a class. Even though I am not his best friend, I still wish him well in his life at Malaysia. We are not studying together as a class anymore Marco but, we will always be friends.
